Family Birthday Celebration
This great old photo shows a family birthday celebration, which of course always centers around food and cake! Doris made the cakes and this was probably celebrating Rasmus and Theresa's Birthdays. The photos includes brother Dick and Virginia, Rasmus holding Cathy, Theresa, Alice, Evelyn and Roger adn Debbie. This photo is not dated, but was in the "old" farm house. Rasmus and family enjoy the presentation of the Birthday cake. Ken has happy memories of birthday celebrations in the old house.
The following handwritten recipe is for traditional Danish Pumpernickel bread.

Evelyn seems to think the year is 1956 or 1957 most likely 56 where Teresa would have been 1 year old.
They were stationed at Ouffit Airforce Base living in Platsmouth.
